Defending champion Norm Duke surges to lead of PBA Senior U.S. Open heading into final day

Norm Duke finished qualifying at the PBA Senior U.S. Open in 17th place, 290 pins behind leader Jack Jurek. After Thursday’s 16 games of match play, the defending champion and reigning PBA50 Player of the Year was in the lead. In the final game of the day he beat Jurek 245-237 and finished the day at 7,674 with 30 bonus pins for each of his 14 match wins, with Jurek second at 7,607.
