John Burkett stepped up in the final frame of the final game of qualifying of the PBA50 Treasure Island Resort & Casino Open presented by Roto Grip facing a simple task: strike to pass Ron Mohr for the lead. Burkett rolled a good shot with his Storm OPTIMUS but left a 10-pin on a not-quite-flush pocket hit, giving Mohr the lead 3,777-3,769.
