Dakota Daniels smashed a huge 1,650 on Saturday to take the lead at the Petersen Classic at Brunswick Zone River Grove in suburban Chicago. Daniels, a 20-year-old left-hander who bowls for Calumet College of Saint Joseph (Indiana), fired games of 185, 214, 220, 177, 193, 211, 236 and 214 to soar past the 1,603 of prior leader Chris Gibbons of Madison.
