Thank you all: 11thFrame.com Open 2015 charity effort so far has raised nearly $800 for Green Acres Boxer Rescue!
Our boxer Otis thanks everyone for helping out Green Acres Boxer Rescue, which is how he ended up with us. Photo by Susan Dyhr.

Last year, our charity tie-in effort for the 11thFrame.com Open raised nearly $700 for Green Acres Boxer Rescue of Wisconsin, as I reported here.

This year High 5 Gear, one of the tournament sponsors, got us T-shirts for cost and we are donating all of the difference between the cost and the $20 price per shirt to Green Acres. Thank you Todd Molbeck and everyone at High 5.

Those who didn’t buy their shirts at the tournament at Cherry Lanes in Dubuque paid for them to be shipped so it didn’t reduce what Green Acres got.

Update: As of the end of 2015, we have about three dozen of the 100 shirts we bought left and have raised just under $600 for Green Acres from the shirt sales, plus people have donated a little more than $200 for a total so far for Green Acres of $797.35.

We will continue to sell the shirts, with sales possibly happening through 11thFrame.com if we can get the planned shopping cart for the site up and running, and through the 2016 11thFrame.com Open in August.

We heard many nice comments and dog stories at the tournament and received several thank you cards from GABR adopters like us, as well as other boxer owners.

Otis (our Green Acres adopted boxer) and my girlfriend Susie “Fever” Dyhr and I want to offer a huge THANK YOU to everyone who bought a T-shirt and/or contributed.

Our efforts will continue through the holiday season and we then will turn over the money raised to Green Acres and I will update this blog with the final totals.
