There is no disputing that scores are somewhat higher at the 2015 Bowlmor AMF U.S. Open than the past few years. There also is no disputing that using a 1.7-1 lane pattern — detailed here and attached to the bottom of this blog as a PDF — and burn and double burns squads compared to the flat pattern and fresh-burn-fresh sequence of past Opens under PBA were big factors.
