Erica Cutler got about as close as you can to a 900 series without feeling any pressure of a potential 900 as she set a national record on Sunday, the United States Bowling Congress reported in this news release. Cutler opened her doubles competition in the Fort Wayne USBC Women’s Bowling Association City Tournament at Thunder Bowl 1 with a 4-7 leave and spare, then proceeded to reel off 34 straight strikes before leaving a 7-pin on her final ball for an 889 (290-300-299).
