New 'current frame scoring' system nets Dom Barrett $10,000 bonus for 10-strike 300 in WBT Finals

It probably didn’t take much convincing to get Dom Barrett to endorse the experimental "current frame scoring" system used in the World Bowling Tour Finals that was taped Feb. 13 and aired Sunday on ESPN. The new system features no “bonus” shots after a strike or spare in the 10th frame and 30 pins for every strike, so when Barrett fired 10 strikes in the title match he totaled 300 and that was worth a $10,000 bonus from PBA for a 300 game.
