The Sean Yonan Memorial Scratch Scholarship Tournament, established in honor of youth bowler Sean Yonan who died in 1995 from a severe asthma attack, again awarded nearly $17,000 in scholarships over the weekend. That brings the event’s 11-year total to more than $170,000 in scholarships awarded, the Yonan family reported. The tournaments set a record with 203 youth bowlers participating, and 86 cashing.
