Conventional thinking is that urethane balls are meant to be used on short patterns and/or low volume patterns where the hooking power of resin is too much and/or too hard to control. How many people would ever imagine using urethane on a long and high volume pattern like the 47-foot PBA Scorpion pattern? At least one, according to Tommy Jones.
