Anthony Simonsen is a leading contender for Player of the Year and could take another big step toward earning that honor on Sunday. The 19-year-old 2-handed right-hander totaled 1,807 on games of 237, 182, 243, 276, 200, 172, 219 and 278 to lead Saturday’s qualifying round of the PBA Downums Waste Services PBA Jonesboro Open presented by Xtra Frame, PBA reported in this news release.
