Short of a 900 series in singles, there is no such thing as a “lock” score for an Eagle at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. I’ve been down that road with the 10,317 we posted in team all-events in 2009, with many telling me our score was a lock before our Linds Limited friends bypassed us with 10,372 barely a week later. It was no consolation that those scores easily ended up first and second that year as it was our second runner-up finish in three years...
