When a red-hot Pete Weber pulled even with Walter Ray Williams Jr. at 98 overall PBA titles last month, it looked like Weber might win the race to 100 between the living legends.
But then Williams won the PBA50 Treasure Island Resort & Casino Viper Championship PBA50 Regional title in Welch, Minnesota, last week to get his 99th title, while Weber didn’t capture a win in three stepladder finals in Minnesota.
