Patty Spires-Merkel slammed a 727 series and Matt Ruhland fired a perfect game to highlight Madison area bowling on Wednesday. Spires-Merkel competed in the Schwoegler’s Happy Hour Rollers League. Ruhland’s 31st career 300 came in a 679 in the Dream Lanes Classic League. The high series on Wednesday was 784 by Jim Fosdick in the Dream Classic.
