Fresh off a win last month in the PBA World Championship that might lift him to Player of the Year honors, E.J. Tackett rolled a pair of perfect games in the first two rounds of the DHC PBA Japan Invitational at Bentencho Grandbowl in Osaka. But after the first 16 of 32 games of qualifying ended Thursday, the MOTIV staffer still was 58 pins behind Japan’s Shota Kawazoe, who averaged 247 while winning 12 of his first 16 matches, PBA reported in this news release.
