Chuck Lande was a pioneer without being a trendsetter. By all accounts I know of, the 52-year-old Texan was the first 2-handed bowler to compete at the top levels, winning five PBA Regional titles, making match play once in about 10 PBA Tour stops in the late 1980s into the 1990s, and winning several other prestigious events, including the Red River Doubles and Dallas Matchgame Championships. But the 2-handers generally regarded with being the trendsetters for the style — PBA Tour stars...
