Bowling like a man who wanted his PBA Player of the Year crown back, Jason Belmonte accomplished much in capping a nearly wire-to-wire victory by winning the Barbasol PBA Players Championship on Sunday. Belmonte’s 221-204 win over fellow 2-hander Anthony Simonsen in the title match at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in Columbus, Ohio, earned him $40,000, but also much more.
