Nearly sold-out USBC Masters proving you can draw a giant field outside the East and Midwest

As of early Thursday, the United States Bowling Congress Masters set for next week at the Orleans in Las Vegas has 395 players on the roster, which is attached to the bottom of this story as a PDF. So much for the idea that those size fields only happen in the East (like the old Carolier in New Jersey) or Midwest (like Woodland Bowl in Indianapolis, where 415 players competed in last year’s Masters). The Orleans has 70 lanes and I am not certain whether USBC is capping the field at 396...
