After Mike Hoffman rolled a 268 in Saturday’s first game of qualifying in the Madison Area Scratch Tour Year End tournament, I joked to him that he’d probably average that for the day.
While it was a joke, it was only slightly exaggerated as I did figure the left-hander known for his striking binges on conditions like the Spartan Bowl house shot might cruise at about a 250 clip for the eight games of qualifying.
