I might be forgetting something obvious but I can’t remember the last time a first-time bowler won an Eagle at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. Perhaps there was a team member on a team or team all-events winner. Inexperience didn’t keep first-timer Robert Leser and fifth-timer Darin Craine from taking the doubles lead on Sunday at South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas.
