McKendree wins first NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship in dominating fashion

The 2017 NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship belonged to the McKendree Bearcats from the start. McKendree earned the top seed in dominating fashion Thursday and Friday, won its first two matches on Friday, and then edged Sam Houston State 4-3 (258-252, 230-212, 200-208, 192-168, 176-207, 202-217, 187-174) in the semifinals on Saturday to advance to Saturday night’s championship match live on ESPNU.
