As he recounted last year when he won the 2016 United States Bowling Congress Super Senior Classic at age 70, Japan’s Junichi Yajima first came to the U.S. to bowl in 1966. But the most Yajima had ever won prior to his Super Senior Classic win was a PBA Regional. Now at 71, Yajima is bidding to make it two in a row, as he leads the 2017 USBC Super Senior Classic after Friday’s qualifying at Sam’s Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas, USBC reported.
