E.J. Tackett wins Storm Cup points race as Chris Via leads low-scoring qualifying at PBA Xtra Frame Kenn-Feld Group Classic

Chris Via led Saturday’s ultra-low-scoring qualifying of the PBA Xtra Frame Kenn-Feld Group Classic at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater, Ohio, but the big winner Saturday was E.J. Tackett. Tackett, the reigning PBA Player of the Year and a 3-time PBA Tour champion this season, qualified 17th with 1,611 for eight games and that was enough to clinch the $20,000 top prize in the 2017 PBA Xtra Frame Storm Cup points race, PBA reported in this news release.
