When the PWBA Tour went dark in 2003 for what turned out to be a dozen years, it did more than cut into the bank accounts of the best women bowlers — it also stamped a huge “What if” on their careers. How many more titles would they have won if the PWBA hadn’t gone dark in the summer of 2003, not to be resurrected in smaller form until 2015? It’s impossible to say, of course, but it’s indisputable to say there was some impact, and perhaps enough to change...
