David Beres defeated Jason Becher 237-215 in the title match at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes on Saturday to win his fourth Madison Area Scratch Tour title. Beres, who qualified seventh in the 69-player field with 933 for four games, opened with a 239-217 win over Scott Angileri, took a 60-38 rolloff over Mike Thill after they tied at 248-248, and then fired a perfect game to beat the 191 of teammate Chris Pierson to advance to the title match.
