Norm Duke retained his lead in Monday’s cashers round, but Jakob Butturff closed the gap as the 2017 U.S. Open headed to round-robin match play at Flamingo Bowl in Liverpool, N.Y. Duke rolled games of 207, 236, 185, 224, 224, 228, 215 and 184 for a 1,703 block and 32-game total of 7,042 (220.06 average), while Butturff posted 210, 215, 248, 212, 236, 238, 226 and 192 for 1,777 and 7,024 (219.5 average).
