It was one of the most highly publicized shows in PBA Tour history: Liz Johnson trying to become the first women to win a PBA Tour title and beating Wes Malott before being denied the title by Tommy Jones in the 2005 PBA Banquet Open.
Kelly Kulick would later become the first woman to win a PBA Tour title in the 2010 Tournament of Champions.
