Sun Prairie boys, Monona Grove girls maintain leads after Week 4 of Madison area high school bowling

The Sun Prairie boys and Monona Grove girls maintained their leads after Monday’s fourth week of Wisconsin District 4 High School Bowling at Village Lanes in Monona and Rude’s Lanes in DeForest.

Eleven boys varsity, three boys junior varsity, and four girls teams are competing this year. For varsity only, there were 11 and five last season, and prior to that it was 11 and six, and 12 and six.  

The competition features nine games of Baker format each week.

For the boys, Sun Prairie has 37 points and Waunakee is second with 30.

For the girls, Monona Grove has 23 points and Marshall/Cambridge is second with 20.5.

For boys, Sun Prairie had the high series and game with 1,947 and 264.

For girls, La Follette/McFarland/Memorial had the high series with 1,551, and Monona Grove the high game with 245.

Austin Est led the boys in fill percentage at 100 percent.

Allison Dempski led the girls in fill percentage with 89 percent.

For the season, Quinn Sheehy leads boys at 96.65 percent and Dempski tops the girls with 90.14 percent.

The boys and girls both compete next week at Sugar River Lanes in Belleville and Rude’s.
